Shaq Griffin Will Take Back His Starting Job After Being Out With A Concussion

The Seattle Seahawks will need all hands on deck against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Luckily, the Seahawks secondary will benefit from the return of rookie Shaquill Griffin, who sustained a concussion in Week 11 and will return this week to aid his team against the 10-1 Eagles.

According to Seahawks coach Pete Carroll, Griffin, who returned to practice on Wednesday, will move back into his starting position as right cornerback on Sunday.

“Yeah, he is looking like that is going to happen,” Carroll said when asked on Friday.

Veteran corner Byron Maxwell stepped in for Griffin following his concussion during the first quarter of Seattle’s Week 11 game.

Maxwell started last week when Griffin was unable to clear concussion protocol ahead of the Seahawks game against the 49ers. He recorded three tackles and a pass breakup while playing 60 snaps. USA TODAY
