The deal is worth 10 million. It averages 2.5 million p/y with a 2.5 million dollar signing bonus. Reported by Ian Rapoport. It gives him a 1 million dollar raise annually.

Seahawks Free Agent Tracker 2016, Mebane to Chargers

Brandon Mebane was on the Seahawks to do list and couldn’t get a deal done. The signing of Rubin over Mebane meant the Seahawks placed a higher priority on Rubin. Pete Carroll has been quoted saying Rubin is the best three technique the hawks have had. They made a push for Brandon Mebane but the Defensive Tackle got a better deal in San Diego. It leaves a hole on the D line the hawks will need to fill most likely through the draft.
